Master Naturalists to host Projects Showcase
The Texas Master Naturalist, Elm Fork Chapter, will be hosting the annual Projects Showcase from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the Denton County Elections Building, 701 Kimberly Drive in Denton. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Stand-Up Comedy Show at Zera Coffee
Zera Coffee & Events will present a Stand-Up Comedy Show at 7:30 p.m. July 18 at 420 E. McKinney St. in Denton. Tickets are available at the door and cost $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Proceeds will benefit the Denton Freedom House.
The show will be hosted by Amanda French and features performers Linda Stogner, Isaac Witty, Kenny Lee and Jaime Blanton.
Gainesville Rodeo set for July
The Gainesville Rodeo will be held at 8 p.m. July 1819 with preliminary events starting at 7 p.m. at 3152 N. Grand Ave. Adult tickets cost $12 at the gate with children ages 4-12 costing $6.

NCTC to host Cub College, painting
North Central Texas College will have Cub College for ages 6-11 from 9 a.m.-noon July 21-24 at 1525 W. California St. in Gainesville. Cost will be $159 per student.
Painting for Beginners will be from 6-8 p.m. July 30 at the NCTC Flower Mound campus, 1200 Parker Square Road. The cost will be $35.
