The Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch Unit, 100 PW 4153 in Valley View will have Beat the Heat Morning Hike, 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Kid Fish Pond.

The next Pilot Point Farmers Market will be from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday on the Historic Square. Live music will be provided by Guitar George.
The fourth annual Mimosa Mosey will be in conjunction with the market. Tickets cost $20 and can be bought on the Pilot Point Chamber Facebook page.

The Krugerville Farmers Market will have Christmas in July from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at Woodland Park, 5200 U.S. 377.
There will be yoga in the park at 10 a.m. and a snowball fight at 11:30 a.m. Vendors will have holiday-themed treats, gifts and goodies.
Back to School Bash in Collinsville
The third annual Back to School Bash will be from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at the Collinsville Elementary gym. There will be free haircuts and school supplies.
Collinsville Elementary School will host Meet the Teacher Night from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday at 510 Reeves St. Students are welcome to bring school supplies.
Lovepacs to host open house
Lovepacs Aubrey-Pilot Point has a new location and will be hosting an open house for the public from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at 4940 U.S. 377 Ste. 7 in Aubrey. Participants are asked to bring a packed weekend bag to receive two entries for door prizes. A weekend bag includes ramen, applesauce cup, oatmeal, Pop-Tarts, microwave popcorn, two granola bars and box of mac and cheese or pasta cup.
Donations for the upcoming school year can be dropped off at PointBank, Martin General Store, Brookshire Brothers and the Pilot Point Senior Center. The most needed items at this time are boxes of mac and cheese and granola bars. Financial donations can be made at lovepacs.org.
Aubrey FFA alumni to hold sale
The Aubrey Friends and Family FFA Alumni will have a sale supporting Aubrey FFA programs from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday and Aug. 1 and 9-11 a.m. Aug. 2 at 105 W. Sherman Drive.

There are a few youth summer camps still available in Pilot Point, Aubrey and Tioga to help families fill their free time.

PP football season tickets go on sale
Returning season ticket holders have priority to purchase Pilot Point Bearcat football season tickets through Aug. 1. All remaining season ticket sales will begin Aug. 4 at the PPISD Administration Office, 829 S. Harrison St.
Tickets cost $40 each and will be cash or check only.
School supply drive at Cedar Ridge Rehab
Cedar Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center will have a school supply drive for Pilot Point ISD through Aug. 1 at 1700 N. Washington St. Requested supplies include notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, crayons, markers, rulers, backpacks, binders, folders, calculators, glue sticks and scissors.
Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program

The Pilot Point Bearcats will have the annual Football Showcase at 8 a.m. Aug. 9 for varsity and 9 a.m. for junior varsity at Massey Stadium. The community is invited to attend.
Back to School Bash scheduled for PP
A Back to School Bash will be from 9 a.m.-noon Aug. 9 at Pilot Point Middle School, 828 S. Harrison St. for Pilot Point ISD students hosted by Pilot Point Police Department, Pilot Point ISD, PPISD Police Department and Pilot Point Chamber of Commerce.
There will be free food, school supplies, haircuts and bicycles while supplies last. Students must be present with a parent or guardian to receive supplies.

Pilot Point PTO plans Chalk the Walk
Pilot Point PTO will have Chalk the Walk from 2-6 p.m. Aug. 10 (come and go) at Pilot Point Early Childhood Center, 829 S. Jefferson St., and Pilot Point Elementary School, 501 E. Carol St., to encourage students on their first day back to school.
A Touch-A-Truck event will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 16 at Pilot Point Elementary School. There will be trucks and vehicles of all kinds, face painting, food trucks, trucker hat station and Pilot Point spirit wear available for purchase.
