GAVA art exhibition at Santa Fe Depot
The Gainesville Area Visual Arts will sponsor the annual Fall Art Exhibition 2025 with a maximum of four art submissions accepted from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 30 and noon-3 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Santa Fe Depot Museum, 605 E. California St. in Gainesville.
Original art only can be submitted that has not been shown in the GAVA exhibition the last four years. Show dates will be Sept. 7-14 with weekend hours 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and weekday times 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Dog Days of Denton at Quakertown Park
The 32nd annual Dog Days of Denton will be from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 6 at Quakertown Park and Civic Center Pool, 515 N. Bell Ave. There will be over 60 vendors, food trucks, live music, and pup and owner contests.

Preparedness Fair set for Denton
The Denton County Offi ce of Emergency Management will host the third annual Denton County Preparedness Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 13 at 1 Courthouse Drive in Denton. There will be informational booths, CoServ Snackin’ Wagon, hands-on experiences, giveaways and contests.
