A free skin cancer screening is available from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton, 3000 N. I-35.

GAVA art exhibition at Santa Fe Depot
The Gainesville Area Visual Arts will sponsor the annual Fall Art Exhibition 2025 with a maximum of four art submissions accepted from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 30 and noon-3 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Santa Fe Depot Museum, 605 E. California St. in Gainesville.
Original art only can be submitted that has not been shown in the GAVA exhibition the last four years. Show dates will be Sept. 7-14 with weekend hours 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and weekday times 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
