Annual Chrome Fest set for Saturday
The annual Chrome Fest car show and community event will be from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday on the Pilot Point Historic Square. There will be hotrods; vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles; live music with New Beginnings and the Bearcat High School band and cheerleaders; and the annual tug of war between police and fire. Live and silent auction proceeds will go to the local Meals on Wheels.

Labor Day trash delay scheduled in PP
Due to changes in landfill access scheduling, all Waste Connections collections throughout Pilot Point will be delayed by one day Labor Day week. Mobberly Farms and Creekview Meadows will run Wednesday, customers north of Main Street will be serviced Thursday and customers south of Main Street will be Sept. 5.
Isle du Bois seeks volunteer park hosts
The Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch Unit, 100 PW 4153 in Valley View will have Labor Day’s Over: Let’s Tidy up the Shore, 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Nature Center parking lot, and Volunteer Information Table, 1 p.m. Sept. 27.
The Isle du Bois Unit, 100 PW 4137 in Pilot Point will offer Make a Snake Craft, 2 p.m. Saturday, Nature Center.

Birdies Fore Bulldogs Golf Tournament
