The Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch Unit, 100 PW 4153 in Valley View will have Namaste in Nature, 11 a.m. Saturday, Kid Fish Pond; Wildflowers & Seed Bombs, 11 a.m. Oct. 11, Nature Center; Volunteer Information Table, 1 p.m. Oct. 11; and Spook-tacular Trunk or Treat, 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Oct. 18, Nature Center.

The Isle du Bois Unit, 100 PW 4137 in Pilot Point will offer Snakes Alive, 2 p.m. Oct. 11, Lost Pines Amphitheater; Getting to Know Some North Texas Mammals, 10 a.m. Oct. 18, Lost Pines Amphitheater; and Bark Ranger Hike, 11 a.m. Oct. 25, Lost Pines Amphitheater.

Kids movie, genealogy at PP library

The Pilot Point Community Library at 324 S. Washington St. will offer kids movie: “Dog Man,” noon Saturday; Storytime (ages 0-5), 10 a.m. Wednesday; Stitch & Sketch (ages 10-adult), 11 a.m. Thursday; and Introduction to Genealogy (adults), 2 p.m. Oct. 10.

Senior Bingo, Lightbulb Lab at Aubrey library

The Aubrey Area Library at 226 Countryside Drive will have Senior Bingo (ages 50 and up), 10:30 a.m. Saturday; after school storytime (all ages), 4:15 p.m. Tuesday; Meditation Hour (ages 16 and up), 5:30 p.m. Tuesday; and Lightbulb Lab (ages 6-13), 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Woodlands Neighborhood to have Garage Sale

The first fall Woodlands Neighborhood Garage Sale will be from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday and Saturday off U.S. 377. Participants can use entrances from Woodlands Drive, Surveyors Road or Texas Ash Drive.

Bearcat Blooms orders close Friday

The Pilot Point FFA Bearcat Blooms orders close Friday with payments due Oct. 10. A single arrangement costs $30 with a monthly arrangement costing $25 through February. To register or for questions, email wwestbrook@ pilotpointisd.com.

Annual Peanut Festival scheduled in Aubrey

The 39th annual Peanut Festival will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday with a parade at 10 a.m. There will be a free kids zone, pony rides, vendors, live music and food trucks.

Buddy Bass Tournament planned at Ray Roberts

The third annual Buddy Bass Tournament will be Saturday at Ray Roberts Lake State Park Isle du Bois Unit and sponsored by the Pilot Point Chamber of Commerce. Team registration will be $160.

Johnson named to UAM homecoming court

Ronnie Hope Johnson of Pilot Point has been named to the 2025 Homecoming Court at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Johnson is a junior communications major and the daughter of Mindi Johnson and the late Eric Johnson. She is the president of the UAM Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and a member of UAM Softball, the UAM Baptist Collegiate Ministry and the UAM chapter of the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success.

City Garage Sale, Cleanup to be held in Tioga

The Ladies Auxiliary of Tioga will sponsor a city-wide garage sale Saturday.

The city of Tioga will have Fall Cleanup from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 11. Dumpsters will be placed behind City Hall. Tioga residents will need to bring a water bill as proof of residency. No chemicals, paint, tires, batteries or appliances that use refrigerants will be accepted.

Fall Musical Showcase at Starbright MPA

Chamber to sponsor Stampede, Glow-in-One

The Pilot Point Chamber of Commerce will have a Cash Stampede at 5 p.m. Tuesday followed by the second annual Glow-in-One at 8 p.m. at Christie’s Golf Ranch, 920 U.S. 377. Golf balls will cost $20 each and must be prepurchased by Monday. The ball closest to the hole wins $250. Proceeds will be donated to the Pilot Point Community Arts program.

National Night Out events in area

National Night Out encourages residents and local law enforcement to come together each fall. The following area police departments will have events this year.

•Aubrey Police Department will have community block parties Tuesday in Providence Village, Sandbrock Ranch and Winn Ridge;

•Krugerville Police Department will have NNO from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Woodland Park, 5200 U.S. 377;

•Pilot Point Police Department will be attending NNO community block parties from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday throughout Pilot Point.

Aubrey Public Safety to have grand opening

The city of Aubrey will have a grand opening celebration for the Aubrey Public Safety Facility at 10 a.m. Wednesday at 4425 FM 2931.

PPISD to have homecoming parade, pep rally

Brockett PTO to host glow party

The Brockett Elementary PTO will have a glow party from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 10 at 900 Chestnut St. in Aubrey. There will be dancing, music, food trucks and bounce houses. Tickets are $5 per child with adults and children under 5 free.

Bonnie, Clyde Days in downtown PP

The Pilot Point Main Street Program will sponsor Bonnie & Clyde Days from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 11 on the Historic Pilot Point Square. There will be a car show, kids zone, book sale, live music and performing arts, pie eating contest and film reenactment.

The Pilot Point First United Methodist Church Youth are collecting new and used towels to benefit All American Dogs, an animal shelter in Pilot Point. The last day to donate will be Oct. 19.

BARKtoberfest set for Cross Roads

BARKtoberfest will be from 1-4 p.m. Oct. 19 at Cross Roads Town Park, corner of FM 424 and Fishtrap Road. There will be a Doggie Costume Contest and a rummage sale to raise funds for I Am Dog Rescue.

National Drug Take Back area locations

Lovepacs Aubrey/Pilot Point is requesting the following donations: ramen, applesauce cups or pouches, oatmeal, Pop-Tarts, microwave popcorn, granola bars, mac and cheese or pasta cups.

Area drop-off sites include Brookshire Brothers, Martin General Store, PointBank, Pilot Point Senior Center and the Post-Signal in Pilot Point; Patrick Nolin Farmers Insurance Agency and The Peanut Gallery in Aubrey; and One Mane Place in Krugerville.

Drivers needed for Meals on Wheels

Volunteer drivers are needed to deliver Meals on Wheels one day a week Monday-Friday for 2 to 2 1/2 hours from 10:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in Aubrey, Krugerville and Pilot Point.
