Cross country season hit the home stretch in the Ranch Cities, with Pilot Point, Aubrey, Tioga and Collinsville competing at the 2025 UIL Region II & III-1A XC Championships in Arlington on Monday and Tuesday.

The Pilot Point Lady Cats took bronze in the 3A Girls 2-mile race, placing third overall as a team, and the Bearcats finished fifth overall as a team.

“I’m really happy that the girls qualified for state,” said Jeff Price, Pilot Point head cross country coach. “Finishing third in a tough region, so I’m proud of them, especially the seniors that were able to make it to state as a team four years in a row.”
