Food for Fines at PP library
The Pilot Point Community Library at 324 S. Washington St. will offer Game Day Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Nov. 8; Art with Justine (ages 12 and up), 4 p.m. Nov. 13; and kids movie: “Smurfs,” noon Nov. 15.
The library will have Food for Fines in November and December to waive overdue library fines by bringing canned goods or nonperishable food. All items will be donated to Shepherd’s Storehouse.

The Tioga City Council is considering appointing a resident to fill a vacant position on the City Council. Applicants must have lived within the city limits for six months and be registered to vote in Tioga.

Senior Night, Meet at the 50 at Massey Stadium
Pilot Point High School seniors will be recognized at 7 p.m. Friday at Massey Stadium.
Kindergarten students and graduating seniors are invited to “Meet at the 50” at halftime with seniors meeting at the gate by the field house and kindergarteners meeting at the south gate.

Open House at Highpoint Performance

Area band competition to be held in Denton
The Pilot Point High School Mighty Bearcat Band will perform at the UIL Area Marching Band competition at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at C.H. Collins Athletic Complex, 1500 Long Road in Denton. General admission is $8 for ages 12 and up (ages 65 and over are free).
