PP Community Cemetery prepares for winter
The Pilot Point Community Cemetery will be cleaning all existing flowers over the next two weeks to prepare for the winter season.
Skins and Skulls at Johnson Branch
The Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch Unit, 100 PW 4153 in Valley View will have Skins and Skulls, 11 a.m. Saturday, Kid Fish Pond; Dutch Oven Cooking, 11 a.m. Nov. 15, Kid Fish Pond; and Let’s Talk Turkey, 10 a.m. Nov. 22, Nature Center.
The Isle du Bois Unit, 100 PW 4137 in Pilot Point will offer Sunrise Bird Hike, 7 a.m. Saturday, Lost Pines Amphitheater; Veteran Ruck Hike, 11 a.m. Saturday, Greenbelt 428 entrance; TCA Habitat Restoration Day, 9-11:30 a.m. Nov. 15, meet at Bluestem Grove parking lot; and Busy Beavers, 2 p.m. Nov. 15, Lost Pines Amphitheater.

Game day, movie at PP library
The Pilot Point Community Library at 324 S. Washington St. will offer Game Day Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday; Art with Justine (ages 12 and up), 4 p.m. Thursday; and kids movie: “Smurfs,” noon Nov. 15.
The library will have Food for Fines in November and December to waive overdue library fines by bringing canned goods or nonperishable food. All items will be donated to Shepherd’s Storehouse.

Starbright MPA to present ‘Addams Family’
Starbright Music and Performing Arts will present “The Addams Family” musical at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Nov. 14-15 with matinees at 2:30 p.m. Sunday and Nov. 16.
PP Fall Sweep planned for Saturday
The city of Pilot Point and Keep Pilot Point Beautiful will sponsor the annual Fall Sweep from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Allen Groff Memorial Park, 1514 N. Washington St. A litter pick up will be from 8:30-11:30 a.m. There will be drop off locations for bulk trash, yard waste, paper shredding, electronic recycling, and tire and battery disposal.
