The Tioga Lady Bulldogs volleyball team finished the 2025 season as the regional runners-up, with a 32-9 record, breaking Tioga ISD’s record for most wins in a season, and multiple members received postseason awards.
Under the guidance of first-year head coach Trevin Robinson, five Lady Bulldogs were named to the all-district team, and four were recognized as honorable mentions.
Middle blocker Kennedy Slay headlined Tioga’s honorees, being named 2A Region II District 10’s Most Valuable Player.
Slay led the district in hitting percentage (37%), kills (496) and total blocks (87) and finished fourth in serving aces (66).
Outside hitters Maddison McDonald and Kyndall Whitley were named alldistrict first team.
McDonald finished third in the district in total blocks (44), fifth in hitting percentage (16%) and seventh in kills (176).
Whitley finished second in the district in kills (351), second in digs (469), fourth in hitting percentage (18%) and fifth in serving aces (65).
Setting duo Sadie Bates and Ella Norwood received second-team honors.
Bates led the district in serving aces (87) and finished second in assists (587).
Norwood finished third in the district in assists (431) and fifth in total blocks (38).
Libero Bella Dennis, defensive specialist Kenzee Powers and outside hitter Brennan Guenther rounded out the Lady Bulldogs honorees, being named as honorable mentions to the all-district team.
Powers finished fourth in the district in digs (297) and was named honorable mention for the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team.
All 11 members of Tioga’s varsity volleyball team—Slay, McDonald, Whitley, Bates, Norwood, Dennis, Powers, Guenther, Addi Hansard, Shaye Walters and Maddy Schon— were named academic alldistrict.
