Kid’s Trout Derby at Johnson Branch

The Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch Unit, 100 PW 4153 in Valley View will have the Kid’s Trout Derby, 9 a.m. Saturday, Kid Fish Pond; Arts in the Park, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Jan. 17, Nature Center; Campfire and Cocoa, 10 a.m. Jan. 24, Kid Fish Pond; and Bobcat Chat, 10 a.m. Jan.31, Kid Fish Pond.

The Isle du Bois Unit, 100 PW 4137 in Pilot Point will be closed through Monday for wildlife management activities.

Kids movie screening at PP library

The Pilot Point Community Library at 324 S. Washington St. will offer a kids movie screening: “Lilo and Stitch,” noon Saturday; Steam Explorers (ages 6-8), 4 p.m. Jan. 20; Adult Craft: Winter Snow Globe, 2 p.m. Jan. 23; and Adult Resume Workshop/Job Fair (including free head shots to participants), 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 24.

The library is continuing the adult Winter Reading Challenge: “Dead of Winter, A Mystery/Thriller Reading Challenge” during the month of January. Reading logs are due by Jan. 31 to enter for a prize drawing.

Meals on Wheels seeks drivers

Volunteer drivers are needed to deliver Meals on Wheels one day a week Monday-Friday for 2 to 2 1/2 hours from 10:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in Aubrey, Krugerville and Pilot Point.
