Nature Center Exploration at Isle du Bois

STEAM Lab at PP library

The Pilot Point Community Library at 324 S. The Adult Resume Workshop/Job Fair (including free head shots to participants) will be rescheduled.

United Way of Denton County will provide tax assistance to households earning less than $67,000/year on Thursdays from 4-6:30 p.m. through April 9.

Puzzle Contest at Aubrey library

The Aubrey Area Library at 226 Countryside Drive will have a Puzzle Contest (all ages), 10 a.m. Saturday; Whodunnit Book Club (ages 16 and up), 6 p.m. Thursday; Tween Club (ages 9-13), 4:30 p.m. Jan. 30; and Lego Club (ages 3-13), 12:30 p.m. Jan. 31.

The Winter Reading Challenge will be from Feb. 1-28 for all ages. Participants can pick up reading logs to earn prizes and raffle tickets.

Teddy bear drive for Avir Senior Living

Free UNT tuition for qualifying students

A new program at the University of North Texas will cover the full cost of tuition and fees for Texas students with a family income of less than $100,000 a year. Students must rank in the top 25% of their high school graduating class to qualify.

Eligible students must be admitted and complete a FAFSA application by Feb. 15.

Career Fair planned for Pilot Point HS

Lovepacs Aubrey/Pilot Point is requesting the following donations: ramen, applesauce cups or pouches, oatmeal, Pop-Tarts, microwave popcorn, granola bars, and mac and cheese or pasta cups.

Area drop-off sites include Brookshire Brothers, Martin General Store, PointBank, Pilot Point Senior Center and the Post-Signal in Pilot Point; Patrick Nolin Farmers Insurance Agency and The Peanut Gallery in Aubrey; One Mane Place in Krugerville; and 1139 Spanish Moss Drive and Frisco Elks Lodge 2890, 14632 Fishtrap Road in Savannah.

Meals on Wheels seeks drivers

Volunteer drivers are needed to deliver Meals on Wheels one day a week Monday-Friday for 2 to 2 1/2 hours from 10:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in Aubrey, Krugerville and Pilot Point.
