PPISD Police Department golf tournament
The second annual Pilot Point ISD Police Department charity golf tournament will start at 9 a.m. Friday with registration at 8 a.m. at Stone Creek Country Club in Sherman. Entry fee is $500/foursome including four mulligans and lunch. Proceeds will benefit the Bearcat golf program and Shop with a Bearcat Christmas program.

2026 Pilot Point on the Rise
The Pilot Point Chamber of Commerce and the city of Pilot Point will present the 2026 Pilot Point Update: Pilot Point on the Rise from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday at Lone Star Lodge Resort and Marina, 2200 FM 1192.
Guest speakers will be City Manager Britt Lusk and Pilot Point ISD Superintendent Dr. Shannon Fuller with an update about the growth of Pilot Point. Food will be catered by Nick’s Italian Restaurant.

PP NHS to sponsor Spring Fest
Pilot Point High School National Honor Society will have Spring Fest starting at 8 a.m. March 21 at 1300 N. Washington St. There will be 5K/1K Fun Run, local vendors, car wash and food trucks. All proceeds will go toward supporting NHS student initiatives, service projects and scholarships.
Annual Spring Clean at Veterans Park
The annual Spring Clean for household hazardous waste and electronics recycling will be from 9 a.m.- noon March 21 at Veterans Memorial Park, 301 S. Main St. in Aubrey.
Participants need to bring a copy of a water bill to confirm residency in one of the following areas: city of Aubrey proper, Sandbrock Ranch, Winn Ridge, Silverado or Aspen Meadows.

American Legion collects items
The American Legion Auxiliary is collecting items to take to the Bonham VA hospital and nursing home. Items can be dropped off at the American Legion Unit 550, 905 Foundation Drive and include body wash, deodorant, lotion, shaving cream, disposable and electric razors, nail clippers, combs, brushes, lip balm, bottled water, coffee, juice boxes, individually wrapped snacks, chips, cookies, candy, Danishes, donuts, leather crafts, plastic model cars, big dominoes, journals, notebooks, adult coloring books, markers, colored pencils, stamps, pens and stationary.
