Market, car show in Sanger

The Sanger Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in Downtown Sanger along with the Cars & Cowboys car show.

Farmers Market, movie planned

The April Gainesville Farmers Market will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. April 11 at 215 W. Elm St. with a free movie screening of “Zootopia 2” starting at dark.

Museum to hold grand opening

Free Women’s Self Defense course

Sights, Sounds Showcase to happen

The Cooke County Arts Council will present Sights & Sounds: A Showcase of the Arts with a reception at 6.m. April 11 followed by performances at 7 p.m. at the First State Bank Center for the Performing Arts, North Central Texas College, 1525 W. California St. in Gainesville.

North Central Chorale to perform

The North Central Texas Chorale will perform Joseph M. Martin’s cantata “A Journey to Hope” at 7 p.m. April 14 at First Presbyterian Church, 401 S. Denton St. in Gainesville. Tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.

Medal of Honor 5K Run, Walk

The Medal of Honor 5K Run/Walk will be held at 7:30 a.m. with check-in at 6:30 a.m. April 18 at Firehouse 1918, 115 E. Pecan St. in Gainesville.
