The commercial boom that has come through Providence Village has continued, and the town’s officials are taking steps to accommodate the growth in the area.
Infrastructure and residential development are taking place as new businesses enter Providence Village, creating a bright future for the developing city.
“It’s a symbiotic relationship,” said Becky Ross, Providence Village planning and community development manager. “Commercial [businesses] don’t want to build until there are enough residents, and residents may want to move unless there are [businesses] that they can get, so it’s a bit of a balancing act. Residential has been winning that for a while, and it's starting to even out.”
