The Pilot Point City Council held an in-depth discussion on impact fees at the July 23 Pilot Point Council meeting.
Pete Kelly, a transportation engineer with Kimley-Horn, presented on the roadway, water and wastewater impact fee studies, as well as some changes to roadway impact fees.
“State law requires that roadway impact fee service areas be no longer than six miles,” Kelly said. “So, due to some additional annexations in the last five years, we coordinated with city staff to create a second service area in the city of Pilot Point that's divided by north and south by FM 1385.”
