A four-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 380 and U.S. 377 in Cross Roads resulted in the death of a 19-year-old woman and the arrest of a 33-year-old man on July 26.
'At approximately 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, officers with the Cross Roads Police Department and personnel from the Little Elm Fire Department responded to reports of a major traffic collision involving four vehicles,' according to the release from the CRPD. 'Upon arrival, first responders immediately began providing medical care to those involved.'
During the accident, Crystal De Luna, 19, was critically injured.
She was transported to an area hospital by the Little Elm Fire Department, but 'she later succumbed to her injuries,' the release said.
The police indicated that there were additional minor injuries at the scene.
'As a result of the preliminary investigation, a 33-year-old male was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter,' according to the release. 'The investigation remains active as Cross Roads Police crash investigators continue to work with our public safety partners to determine the circumstances that led to the collision.'
The man was identified as Jonathan Moses of Pilot Point.
