APD looks into stabbing

A stabbing incident in Providence Village resulted in an arrest on Tuesday.

The police interacted with the victim, who “was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” in the 11100 block of Summer Rain in Aubrey, but the incident occurred in the 13100 block of Quinton Drive in Providence Village, according to the Aubrey Police Department release.

“Officers responded to that area and located evidence consistent with a stabbing,” the release said. “The suspect was located at the residence and was taken into custody.”

The police also reported that because witnesses attested that the suspect and victim knew each other and because the police had secured the scene, there was “no danger to the public.”

“Residents in that area will see a large police presence while we process the scene,” the release said.
