LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

OPINION

In the words of Steve Martin, “Be so good they can’t ignore you.” Once again, Starbright Center for the Performing Arts and the Pilot Point Players filled the Garage Door Stage with music, dancing, and an inspiring message: you, too, can fulfill your dreams.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was a smash hit. Joe Hjelmgren and Kailey Rice are pursuing their dreams, and Pilot Point is benefiting from their vision and dedication.

Set to an energetic pop-rock score, the musical retells the biblical story of Joseph, a favored son sold into slavery by his jealous brothers. Through his gift for interpreting dreams, Joseph rises from imprisonment to become Pharaoh’s powerful right-hand man in Egypt.

The stage came alive as the cast belted out memorable songs and the audience joined in—clapping, tapping their toes, and even singing along.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this memorable production. Your time, talent, and effort are making a meaningful difference in our community.

•Excellence: The quality of work on this small stage deserves communitywide recognition.

•Dedication: Every actor and backstage team member clearly invested significant time and care.

•Impact: This production brought people together and strengthened Pilot Point’s performing arts community.

Thank you for giving our community a production to remember. We have already purchased our 2027 season tickets and look forward to what comes next.
