Sounds of Night at Johnson Branch

The Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch Unit, 100 PW 4153 in Valley View will have Sounds of Night, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nature Center; iNaturalist Hike, 10 a.m. Saturday, Kid Fish Pond Trail; and Carleton’s Catfish Catch-A-Thon, 9 a.m. June 7, Kid Fish Pond.

The Isle du Bois Unit, 100 PW 4137 in Pilot Point will host Nature Therapy, 10 a.m. June 14, Lost Pines Amphitheater.

50th Birthday Party for PP library

The Pilot Point Community Library at 324 S. Washington St. will have the library’s 50th Birthday Celebration, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday; Walk N’ Talk AgriLife program, 2 p.m. Wednesday; and Yarn Buddies, 11 a.m. Thursday.

Teen volunteers are needed to help with the annual summer reading program. If interested, apply in person at the library.

Bubble Party at Aubrey library

The Aubrey Area Library at 226 Countryside Drive will have Spring Fling Bubble Party (ages 5 and under), 11 a.m. Saturday; Meditation Hour (ages 16 and up), 5:30 p.m. Tuesday; and Senior Social Hour (ages 50 and up), 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The library will be closed May 24 for Memorial Day. The library is seeking volunteers for junior volunteers ages 11-12, teens ages 13 and up, and adults. If interested, email aubreyarealibrary@gmail. com.

KPPB to sponsor yard of the month

Keep Pilot Point Beautiful will relaunch the Yard of the Month contest voted on by a committee of Parks Board members and city staff. Monthly winners will receive a gift card to Rooted In.

Flag Program for Rotary Club

The Lake Ray Roberts Rotary Club is offering the annual flag program serving the Pilot Point, Aubrey and Krugerville communities. The cost is $50 per year and includes an American flag to be placed in a front yard or place of business on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Patriots Day and Veterans Day.

This program helps fund high school scholarships for Aubrey and Pilot Point, donations to Shepherd’s Storehouse and LovePacs, dictionaries for Pilot Point and Aubrey third graders, and local students to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.

Summer Music Series at Veterans Park

The first Aubrey Summer Music Series will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday at Veterans Memorial Park with Ryder Grimes and Dawson Drake. There will be bounce houses and food trucks.

GDT to present ‘Night Hank Williams Died’

PP sport physicals to be offered

Pilot Point student sports physicals for the 2025-26 school year will be offered from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Pilot Point High School gym. The cost will be $20.

Fish fry, auction at American Legion

The American Legion Auxiliary Post 550 will host a Fish Fry and Auction on Saturday with a silent auction at 4 p.m., dinner at 5 p.m. and a live auction from 6-8 p.m. at 905 Foundation Drive. Live music will be provided by Heat Wave from 8-11 p.m.

Raffle tickets will be $10 each for a chance at $750 worth of beef from Salty Heifer and a pellet smoker. All money raised will be used for the ALA programs to support veterans, active duty and their children.

Daddy Daughter Dance postponed for PP

The Pilot Point Daddy Daughter Dance, “A Knight for a Princess,” that was planned for Saturday will be postponed to a future date.

Christian College Fair in Pilot Point

A Christian College Fair will be held for high school students and their families from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the PointBank Community Center, 739 E. Liberty St. Refreshments will be provided.

Forum, runoff election scheduled for PP

A candidate forum for city of Pilot Point City Council Place 6 between candidates Andrew Ambrosio, incumbent, and Steven Birkelbach will be held at 7 p.m. Monday with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. at the Garage Door Theater, 110 S. Washington St. sponsored by the Garage Door Theater and the Pilot Point Post-Signal.

The city of Pilot Point will have a runoff election for Place 6 with early voting from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. May 27-31 and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. June 2-3 with election day voting from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. June 7 at the Pilot Point Senior Center, 310 S. Washington St.

Aubrey 380 Chamber to host luncheon

The Aubrey 380 Area Chamber of Commerce will host a networking luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Oak + Ivy, 11858 FM 428 in Aubrey. Guest speaker will be Jason Pierce, director of Governmental Affairs and Communication, with the Upper Trinity Regional Water District. Food will be catered by Nick’s Italian Restaurant. Murph Fundraiser to benefit PP Firefighters

The fourth annual Murph Fundraiser will be at 9 a.m. May 24 at Kainos Community CrossFit, 1111 Enterprise Drive.

All donations will go to the Pilot Point Firefighters Association to buy gym equipment.

Youth Lock-in at Calvary Baptist

PP Farmers Market end of May

PPISD to offer conditioning camps

Pilot Point ISD will offer summer strength and conditioning camps for incoming seventh through 12th grade athletes.

Camps will run Monday-Thursday starting the first week of June and going through the end of July. High school boys will be from 7-9 a.m., junior high boys will be from 8:30-10 a.m. and high school/junior high girls will be from 8-10 a.m.

Practices will be held in Pilot Point with games at the University of North Texas or McMath Middle School in Denton. Cost will be $90.

Rancho Roundup Charity Car Show

The Rancho Roundup Charity Car Show will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. June 7 at 2459 W. Blackjack Road in Aubrey. There will be food trucks, fishing (bring your own gear), paddle boats, canoes, bounce houses and playgrounds. All proceeds go to Peace of the Rock Ministries. No pets or alcohol will be allowed.

Lovepacs requests donations, drivers

Lovepacs is requesting the following donations: ramen, applesauce cups or pouches, oatmeal, Pop-Tarts, microwave popcorn, granola bars, mac and cheese or pasta cups.

Area drop-off sites include Brookshire Brothers, Martin General Store and Pilot Point Community Library in Pilot Point; Patrick Nolin Farmers Insurance Agency and The Peanut Gallery in Aubrey; and One Mane Place in Krugerville.

Delivery drivers are needed every Wednesday morning for about an hour as weekend bags are delivered to schools in the Aubrey, Pilot Point and 380 Corridor. For more information, email aubrey@lovepacs. org.

Drivers needed for Meals on Wheels
