The runoff election for Place 6 of the Pilot Point City Council has come to a close with Incumbent Andrew Ambrosio coming out ahead.
After falling just shy of the necessary 50% majority in the May election, Ambrosio and runner up Steven Birkelbach were both placed on a runoff ballot per the city’s charter.
The runoff, which concluded on Saturday, saw Ambrosio secure a landslide 72.37% of the votes, leaving 27.63% to Birkelbach.
The election will be canvased on Thursday during the council’s regular meeting.
