Sharon Moore
Sharon Moore

Sharon, known to family as Lil Mama, was born and raised in Corsicana, Texas, and lived with her mother, father, two sisters and two brothers. She grew up in the church and was a follower of Christ all her life.
After graduating Corsicana High School, she attended Navarro Community College. From there she pursued a teaching degree from Sam Houston State University. She taught for nearly 30 years, shaping the minds and inspiring the many students that walked into her classroom. From kindergarten to eighth grade, across three states and many school districts she made connections with students and made learning fun.
Sharon had three beautiful girls: Chrystal Nichole, Chrystin Anne and Chrystina Marie. She was involved in their many activities and gained several bonus children along the way.
In 2016, she was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer. When her treatments would take her to Houston, Sharon would stop to visit her Great Aunt Laura. They would catch up on life and reminisce. Aunt Laura would never let her leave empty-handed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Howard Miller; her mother, Ernestine Miller; and her nephew, Howard Miller Jr.
She is survived by her siblings, Diane Biggs (Rodney), Barbara Wallace (Ronald), Roy Miller (Doaw) and Howard Miller (Nancy); three children, Chrystal Boyd, Chrystin Mars (Bryan) and Chrystina Moore. She has seven grandchildren along with a slew of bonus children, bonus grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Sharon Moore was a warrior who fought with grace and grit but never gave up. Please consider donating to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation so others can have more time with the ones they love at netrf.org/get-involved/give-now.
