Santa’s coming to town

Ranch Cities families won’t have to search very far for their chance to make holiday memories visiting with Santa during the holiday season with many cities, organizations and libraries hosting the jolly old elf.

On Dec. 2, Keep Aubrey Beautiful will host its Tree Lighting at Veterans Memorial Park. Santa will be visiting while eventgoers are also able to enjoy live music, vendors and food.

On Dec. 3-4, the Aubrey 380 Area Chamber is hosting an event that will take people all around the community. “A Small Town Family Christmas” will include ranch and business tours. Tickets are available at aubreycoc.org.

On Dec. 3-4, First Rock Fellowship will be hosting the Christmas Roundup at Rancho De La Roca in Aubrey. The event will include hay rides, caroling and a chuckwagon. Children will be able to spend a special evening with Santa around the campfire.

On Dec. 4, many area towns will be celebrating the holidays. People are invited to enjoy the fifth annual Providence Village Christmas parade. Children will be able to spot the big fellow in the parade and then have a chance to take photos with him. At 4 p.m., Pilot Point Christmas on the Square will kick off. It will include mini train rides, shopping, live performances and of course Santa will be there for photos. Mrs. Claus will be there, too. Tioga’s Christmas parade will begin at 6 p.m. The event will include live music and carnival rides and participants may spot the jolly elf.

At 4:15 p.m. Dec. 7, Aubrey Area Library has invited Santa to come read his favorite Christmas books. Children will be taking a treat home as well.

At 4 p.m. Dec. 9, Santa will be reading his favorite books at the Pilot Point Community Library. The afternoon will also include crafts for children of all ages.
